it’s no secret that our chief fitlosopher has quite the coffee crush, so what better way to wrap up our #21days2change happiness challenge than with liquid happiness in a cup (especially when that cup is our brand spankin’ new happy hour coffee mug)?? bulletproof happiness, to be exact.
chances are, unless you’ve been living under a rock the past couple years, you’ve heard of bulletproof coffee. but what is it exactly? our quick bulletproof 101: high-quality coffee + coconut oil + grass-fed butter or ghee = bulletproof bliss. so what’s all the fuss about? fans tout many benefits, including extra energy, improved focus, avoiding that afternoon slump, and weight loss (when combined with a low-carb diet). plus, when you blend it all up, it creates a thick, frothy latte-esque concoction to rival any cream + sugar loaded coffeehouse favorite.
we added a little collagen to ours for an easy protein boost, along with some antioxidant-loaded cacao to up the wow. but don’t just take our word for it - try our fitlosophyzed bulletproof mocha latte to see what the (caffeine) buzz is all about for yourself! it just may be your new happy hour.
[bulletproof mocha latte]
8 oz strong, quality hot coffee
1 tbsp grass-fed bulletproof ghee
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop bulletproof collagen protein powder
2 tsp cacao powder
all-natural sweetener to taste
(optional - but skip fake sugars...opt for stevia or raw honey)
simplest directions ever: combine everything in a blender (or our fitfuel mixer) + blend (or shake) until frothy.
